Greetings, Community Christian Fam and Fans! As we near the conclusion of our third quarter, I wanted to share with you some of the exciting things we’ve been up to at Community Christian. The Lord has truly done exceedingly and abundantly more than we could have EVER asked or imagined. In March, we returned from our three week break to participate in the Prayer at the Statehouse event sponsored by the Center for Christian Virtue. Our students were invited to open the program by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the Pledge to the Bible. Their presentation was very impressive. They definitely took the words of our previous memory verse to heart: “This is my command- be bold and courageous! Do not be afraid for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!” Click HERE to catch a glimpse of us in this clip from the event. Later the same week, we were visited by some very special guests- Mrs. Ruth Edmonds and Solas Film Co. I can’t tell you how exciting it was to be one of four Ohio Christian Education Network schools selected to participate in a video produced to promote the importance of Christian education. We had an amazing time with Mrs. Edmonds and the crew. They were with us all day shooting interviews and B-roll footage. I was blessed to view the film at the CCV Gala in April and look forward to sharing the video with all of you when it becomes available. We’ve recently reached another huge milestone. On Tuesday, April 14th we celebrated our first 100 Days of School…EVER! I would be remiss if I didn’t express a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make what was once just a vision, a reality. We give God all praise and glory for being our primary source; however, we also acknowledge and sincerely appreciate those that have been commissioned to pray and provide financial and in-kind contributions that support our mission! As a result of your generosity, $4,935.00 was donated to our Scholarship Granting Organization. We realize that anything related to taxes can be intimidating, so for those of you who stepped out on faith and gave anyway— THANK YOU SO MUCH! The more money donated to our SGO, the more scholarships we’re able to provide for students to attend. In January 2027, in addition to the current state tax credits, the program will expand to include a federal tax credit opportunity, too! Remember, a tax credit is a dollar for dollar reduction in your tax liability, providing an opportunity for you to contribute at no cost to you. We pray you will consider participating in the upcoming year. Well, I could go on and on about how amazing the Lord has been, but y’all already know, I just can’t tell it all! A friend of mine recently asked if I had any projections for the school. I explained that I have lots of plans and projections, but we operate on a “need to know basis” with Jesus. He has already set everything into place in eternity. We are just along for the ride waiting for the manifestation of His will. Many of the books I’ve read, classes I’ve taken, and conferences I’ve attended suggest this mindset is not considered a “best practice” in business. But one thing I’ve learned along this journey (that I hope will also encourage you) is that this business is God’s business, and the best practice for us at Community Christian is to get out of the way so He can take care of business! “For it is God who works in you, to will and to act in order to fulfill His purpose!” Philippians 2:13.
